“ The service was friendly and engaging. It's always nice to see the owner/operator on site, guiding staff and ensuring quality is to spec. The food was fast and most of all, fresh. The sprout salad and kimchi that arrived before my bowl were incredibly refreshing and tasty. The counter attendant who took my order made sure to inquire about allergies and was also very open to a personal modification. My bowl was delivered with care and a descriptor. Overall, while the bright, clean atmosphere of the room reflect that of a quick, fresh lunch destination, Buok operates with the care and attention to detail you would expect of a fine dining establishment. ”
“ Came here on the last day of Downtown Dining Week and it was packed on the Saturday evening. We had to wait a while for our food but it was understandable but also worth it - Henry, the owner, came by to make sure we were doing fine while we waited, which was very nice. The food was amazing: fresh, homemade Korean comfort food. The downtown dining week deal of 20 for the mandu, bibimbap and drink was a steal, but I’d definitely come back to try the rest of the menu. ”

“ Walking distance from Flixbus terminal Jasper Ave. I finished the bulgogi bibimbap to the last morsel. Nice to have brown rice option. Rice and veggie portion were balanced and food tasty but not too salty. Fried egg on top made the bibimbap extra delectable. Pork dimsum was good too. My cousin enjoyed the black bean noodle. Brownie was a little too sweet. Staff was efficient and attentive for additional orders. Nice touch on lemon water. All in all, great experience and relief from long tiring travel. ”
“ We had the holiday feast plus the classic ddokbokki and everything was so tasty! You get to choose your protein for the kimchi fried rice, japchae noodles, and bibimbap. We tried beef, chicken and pork and while everything was good, our family liked the beef the best! Very generous portions, and even my husband who isn’t normally much of a kimchi fan loved the kimchi fried rice! The staff were so kind and friendly, this is a fantastic local business! ”
